I received the Apple of My Eye stamp set for free at our last Stampin’ Up! conference and quite frankly I wasn’t sure if I would ever use it.  Boy was I wrong.   I’ve used it a bunch and always seem to be able to do something different with it each time.

Apple of my Eye_StampersClub

This was truly a 10 minute card.  Easy, simple, stunning!

1 Whisper White CS  2″ x 4 1/4″ $ scraps

I love weddings there are so warm and fresh.   The Bloomin’ Hearts Framelits make it so a wedding card is just as stunning as the bride.

?

The Love Blossoms product suite this year in the 2016 occasions catalog is perfect for wedding and anniversary cards not just Valentine cards.

Using framelits and thinlits make it so a card can be done quickly and come out stunning.  Many of the exclusive dies made for Stampin’ Up! match up with stamped images like the banner on this card.  I use the banner framelit from the Large Numbers Framelit set to get that perfect cut and the larger heart and bow were from the  Mini Treat Bag Framelit set.  So look at some of the extra shapes you can get in some of the other sets.  You will be pleasantly surprised.

Tip:
When cutting out detailed shapes use the Precision Base Plate and the Magnetic Platform to help get a clean cut.

If you haven’t taken a serious look at the new Botanical Builder Framelits you really need to.  I love the new concept of a fancy cut away edgelit which is the feature die I used for this card.

Botanical Blooms

For this card I cut my card stock the long way.  4 1/4″ x 11″ and then used the vine framelit to cut away one edge along the front.  Remember don’t have the card folded when you put it thru the Big Shot or you will cut the front and the back.   I also used the Thick Whisper White Card stock to lend some additional strength to the card.  LOVE this new paper!

I attached a strip of the designer paper to the inside to highlight the cut. And added some additional stamping with the Botanical Blooms stamp set using Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow and Mint Macaron Ink.

The Happy Birthday is from my FREE sale-a-bration stamp set called Perfect Pairings and stamped in black.  I finished the card off with a die cut flower spray and some It’s My Party Candy Dots.

Today is the start of daylight savings time where I’m at so we on the “Spring Forward” time.  Not too sure I liked loosing an hour of sleep last night but I do have a very adorable suite of spring gift tags I made using the Honeycomb Happiness Stamp Set not to mention the Honeycomb Embellishments.  Are they not just the cutest things you’ve seen lately.

Honeycomb Happiness Tags_stampers club

These fun tags were part of the Make ‘n Takes at my winter weekend retreat last month.  We only needed one sheet of Extra Thick White CS, some scraps of Soft Suede CS and Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper, a couple of  embellishments, ribbon and punches.  We used some of those markers from yesterdays post to color them in.

The Honeycomb Embellishments come in 3 colors.  Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride and White so we used a Stampin’ Spritzer filled with rubbing alcohol and a dozen drops of ink refill to color the white one for the little chick.

Enjoy

I don’t color with markers very often and when I do pull them out I’m always happy with the results.   How often do you use them?

As I was playing with my Flowering Fields Stamp Set from the 2016 Sale-a-bration selection from Stampin’ Up! I decided to use it for my Easter card this year.  Would love to know what you think of it.

I love that the marker set has all of the Stampin’ Up! colors to choose from so it’s a great way to start out your collection of inks.   Not only can you use them to color your image but did you know you can color right onto your stamp too and many more possibilities I’ll can show you later.

For today’s card I used the Tangelo Twist and Mossy Meadow from the In-Color set and the Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Marina Mist and Soft Sky form the Many Marvelous Makers Set

Don’t you just love it when you get inspired by a card and create another beautiful one because of it.   I am very pleased with the way this thank you card turned out.

I had just a few sheets of my coveted Sale-a-bration Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum left but this card was just calling it’s name.

To adhere the vellum only add adhesive to the center area that will be covered by the upper elements this way your adhesive won’t show thru.

Timeless Textures Thank You_stampers club

There are 2 things that really surprised me on this card.  First was the stamp set I used for the flowers.  It’s call Number of Years and who would think that name meant flowers.   There are some awesome watercolor style images that you can use to create the flower spray with all sorts of flowers.

And the   second surprise was using the new Timeless Textured Stamp Set.  This is another must have for your stamp collection.  I used this set to add some hidden texture by way of the grid pattern at the bottom of tag with Blushing Bride ink and the swirls with Hello Honey ink.

I added some Lost Lagoon DSP, Venetian Lace Ribbon and a Itty Bitty Accent punch flower with a pearl over the butterfly to add a pop of color.

How it’s made:

Card Base is Hello Honey 4 1/4 x 8 1/2

Vellum is 4 x 5 1/4

Tag and butterfly are with Very Vanilla

Greeting is stamped with Tip Top Taupe

Inks:  Pear Pizzazz, Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron, Hello Honey, Blushing Bride, Tip Top Taupe

My husband wanted to take a buddies wife a thank you for keeping her husband away for a few evenings in row for some work on his boat and asked if I would make a simple bottle of win not so simple anymore.  This wine bottle tag was quick & easy stamping which I really needed since he needed it in a snap and I was on my way to a class.

Flower Shop wine bottle tag
I still had some of that lovely Baked Brown Sugar Ruffled Ribbon that retired this year and so miss it.  I sure hope it shows up in Stampin’ Up!’s Clearance Rack so I can get some more.  I embossed the flower with gold embossing powder popped it onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock that I punched with the amazing Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and added a splash more pizazz with some Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape and poof  it was done.

I’m pretty sure my husband was forgiven.
