Let’s get started scrapping.   Spring is in the air, well maybe not in Michigan as it’s snowing, but it’s on it’s way so let’s get started with some spring pages.

March 2016 scrapbook page_StampersClub

I used some of my left over Wildflower Fields designer paper that I had gotten for free last month during the annual sale a bration event and this is a great way to use some of the scraps.

All of the small squares along the bottom are 1 -7/8″ x 1- 7/8″ and the black photo mats are 2-1/8″ x 2-1/8″, 4-1/8″ x 4-1/8″ and 4-1/8″ x 6-1/8″

Some of the Whisper White squares at the bottom are stamped with another free set I received last month and colored with my markers like I did on my Easter card a few days ago.  You can see that technique here.

Cardstock colors are:  Delightful Dijon, Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Calypso Coral, Always Artichoke

Marker colors are: Delightful Dijon, Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride, Wisteria Wonder

Don’t you just love it when you get inspired by a card and create another beautiful one because of it.   I am very pleased with the way this thank you card turned out.

I had just a few sheets of my coveted Sale-a-bration Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum left but this card was just calling it’s name.

To adhere the vellum only add adhesive to the center area that will be covered by the upper elements this way your adhesive won’t show thru.

Timeless Textures Thank You_stampers club

There are 2 things that really surprised me on this card.  First was the stamp set I used for the flowers.  It’s call Number of Years and who would think that name meant flowers.   There are some awesome watercolor style images that you can use to create the flower spray with all sorts of flowers.

And the   second surprise was using the new Timeless Textured Stamp Set.  This is another must have for your stamp collection.  I used this set to add some hidden texture by way of the grid pattern at the bottom of tag with Blushing Bride ink and the swirls with Hello Honey ink.

I added some Lost Lagoon DSP, Venetian Lace Ribbon and a Itty Bitty Accent punch flower with a pearl over the butterfly to add a pop of color.

How it’s made:

Card Base is Hello Honey 4 1/4 x 8 1/2

Vellum is 4 x 5 1/4

Tag and butterfly are with Very Vanilla

Greeting is stamped with Tip Top Taupe

Inks:  Pear Pizzazz, Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron, Hello Honey, Blushing Bride, Tip Top Taupe

Flower-Patch-Bookmark Card

I have seen soooo many great cards using the Flower Fair stamp set.  And of course Stampin’ Up! has made it super easy to create layering by giving us a matching Flower Flair  framelit set.  And the best news is it’s available as a bundle for a 15% savings all year long.

This is a unique card because it also has a bookmark in it that can be detached so it’s not just a card, it’s a gift too!

Stampers Clubhouse Tips:

I used the Perforating Blade with the Rotary Arm Attachment to my paper cutter to create the ‘tear off’ portion for tag.Flower-Patch-Bookmark Card

To make the tag top I used the Scallop Tag Topper Punch by sliding the cardstock over and past the paper guides then trimmed off the odd pieces left once it was punched.

Did you see the Big Shot Special Offer?

Stampers Clubhouse Colors:

Cardstock:  Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, Basic Black, Whisper White
Inks:  Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, So Saffron, Hello Honey, Mossy Mellow, Pear Pizzazz

Hexagons are all the rage.  They rank right up there with the chevrons.  The Six Sided Sampler Bundle from Stampin’ Up! sure has fixed me up.  Last month my scrapbook club girls made this page with the new stamp and hexagon punch in the bundle.

six sided sampler scrapbook page

I started out this page by using the colors from the Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper to stamp out the hexagon images with the Six Sided Sampler Stamp Sent and then punched them out with the Hexagon Punch.  Then added some cute elements using the DSP and finished it all off with a few bits of Epic Day This and That Washi Tape and an array of flowers that I created with the Flower Shop Stamp Set and the Pansy Punch.

And looky what I did for the flower center.  Yep you guessed it I used some Simply Pressed Clay that I colored with a few drops of Daffodil Delight re-inker and made a rosette from the Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds.

After you fill the mold with the clay put in the freezer for about 5 minutes, pull it out and pop out the flower.  Leave it to dry.  It will still feel spongy when it’s dry.

Super cute huh!

Of course I also made several cards with these stamp sets but you are just going to have to stay tuned to see those.

I am beginning to think these are my two favorite items this year. Kind & Cozy Stamp Set and new In Colors. I have always been a ‘green’ girl so it wasn’t hard to get attached to one of this year’s Stampin’ Up! In Colors, Pistachio Pudding.  I always get hungry when I read those color names. LOL

I also used this card for my swap at the Stampin’ Up! convention last week in Salt Lake City.  Had I known I was going to earn an honored award and be invited to my all time favorite event, Stampin’ Up! Founders Circle Retreat, I would have saved it for my swap there.  Guess I’ll have to come up with another eye catcher.  Any ideas?

Wouldn’t it be nice to just have a few special decorating items when those special dates come along.  Well these two projects have certainly fit the bill for me.   The birthdays in my house are mostly near another holiday so there is already some sort of décor going on but I like this just to celebrate a little bit more with a personal touch.

This is another printers tray with Birthday inserts which has been on ongoing series of projects since last fall and I’m very happy with the way it turned out.  When I saw the Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper in the new catalog I new exactly what I was going to make with it.

Birthday Tray

I have been hosting classes frequently for the inserts ever since Stampin’ Up! offered them as a special promotion last fall and each one gets more exciting than the last one.

I also have been asked a zillion times if I could add more guests to the class.  I would love to except the printers trays are no longer available.  A total bummer.

But I was never one to let something that small stand in my way of making someone happy so I came up with an alternate option last month.  These lovely framed Samplers.

Birthday Sampler

Isn’t this just the bomb?   Again the Birthday Basics Designer Paper was my starting point as I am very drawn to the colors in that pack.  Not to mention it is just so much fun.  Last month I used the Gingham Garden Designer Paper to start the Printers Tray Project and of course had to have a matching sampler to go with that one too.  I forgot to photograph if to include in my previous post so here it is now.

Along with all of those extra graduation parties this year I’ve had my fair share of weddings too.  I think I’m getting older as this is the next generation in my family having all of these celebrations.  Not sure I want to know that just yet as I still think of myself as that quiet sixteen year old.  All of my stamping friends have edged the shy part away just a bit.

And with all new celebrations comes all new items from Stampin’ Up! too.  I used a very classic background stamp called Beautifully Baroque that also comes in bundle this year with the matching Baroque Embossing Folder, Beautifully Baroque Bundle includes both items..

And that super special Mr. & Mrs. is from another bundled product call Label Love Bundle that has a matching punch.  So in love with these bundles.  No pun intended.  Well maybe.

I was not one to scrapbook in the past and it took me some time to learn how to put pages together.  I am now totally hooked and truly enjoy creating page layouts.  My club girls come each month excited to see what we are going make.

Of course Stampin’ Up! has done it again with this new catalog and made it super easy to create the pages by using the product suites they have put together.

This one was made with the Gingham Garden Suite.  I received the kind &  Cozy Stamp Set free while I was on the trip to Fiji with Stampin’ Up! this past May.  They left me presents on my bed at night “pillow gifts”

I am totally in love with this stamp set and you will be seeing a fair amount of it.  Another item I am finding I can’t live without is the Washi Tape.  Take a look at how I added just a touch of it to this page.

See the strip with the little flowers.  That’s the Gingham Garden Washi Tape.  Doesn’t it look like a napkin.

I know not many think that you can have stamping on your scrapbook pages but I do it all the time.  I enjoy the way it makes the pages come alive with personalization.  I get to continue my love of stamping along with creating beautiful pages to accent my family photos in my albums.

Since I receive the designer paper for free during Sale–a-bration I was super excited to use it and doesn’t it match up perfectly with the 2010-2011 In Color cardstock.

This cardstock will be retiring at the end of May so be sure to hop on over to my web store to get you supplies stocked up before they are gone.

I also used the free Fresh Vintage stamp set along with the 2010-2011 In Color Stampin’ Write Markers.  I love the way Stampin’ Up! has all of the things you need to make the color coordination happen so quick and easy.

The scented embossing powders showcased in the 2012 Occasions Mini from Stampin’ Up! are so easy to use.  Just in case you are unsure of how easy it is I have created a video to help you along.

How to use Scented Embossing Powder

They make a great WOW for the recipient and the scent lasts for a very long time.  I know you are not able to smell it in the video so let me just say it is very sweet scent and true to the name.  In this case it was Cherry and when I open the envelope I certainly think Cherry!  There is also Vanilla and Melon scented powders.

I was so excited to see these nesting shapes in the Occasions Mini this year.  The hearts have been a huge hit.

Between Valentines Day and many upcoming weddings and anniversaries I will certainly be using this card more than one time.  I embossed the Take It To Heart stamp set images with Pewter and Cherry Cobbler embossing powder then performed that perfect heart shaped cut with my Hearts Collection Framelits.  To show them off I layered them up on a rosette I made using the new Designer Rosette Die.

This card was also one of the WOW cards last month and if you would like to learn how to create these come on over and stamp with us.

I know this isn’t a picture of a huge bowl of cider but it sure does make you think about fall. Smile

Each month I have a class about how to use the wonderful punches

Stampin’ Up! has to offer.  Can you see how the Petite Pennant Builder Punch made a great hat and sleeves for this little guy.

The other element on here that was not made with a punch was the scrapes I used for the patches on his clothes.

Can you guess what all the other ones were?

If you are interested in attending this class contact me for the details.  I can also bring this class to you and with the great Hostess Bonus Promotion that is going on now thru December 15th holding a punch workshop is also lots of fun.

In case you missed last months Witch Punch Art here is the sample again.
