January Club Projects

As always club members enjoyed another night of stamping fun.  This month was all about Valentine's Day.  I don't know why but that is at the top of my list.  Maybe it's the Pink and Red colors or the flowers but more than likely it's the Chocolate!

See I told you it was the colors.  Real Red and Pretty in Pink are just so lovely.  This month we used some of the brand new stamps sets from the new Occasions Mini Catalog.  I receive the With All My Hearth stamp set for FREE when I attended the Stampin' UP! Leadership conference earlier this month and that oh so cute squirrel is from the Love Bandit, another free set I received.  And the photo just doesn't do the designer paper justice.  You can't see it but there is already glitter on the paper.  Our new Sending Love Specialty Paper has all those favorite colors and a girls best friend 'glitter' is already there for us.

The New Sweetheart set goes together perfectly with the Heart Treat Cups. We made a very special valentine card with them that was also cut out using the Scallop Circle die with the Big Shot.

Scrapbookers Got Into the Pink Too!!

This month was the first for our scrapbookers.  Remember that brand new club that was forming will here is what they made.

We used some more of that scrumptious paper along with some of the new accessories.    Of course where I had stamped those lovely birdies is where they will put their loved ones photos and there is always room for more embellishing if wanted.

My New Grandson

Wow I can't tell you how excited I was to finally see and hold our new little Noah.  Amanda had a fairly easy time with this one and both are happy and healthy.

Mom, Dad and Grandma are very happy to pose with our little guy just minutes after he was born.  Can you tell we are all tired but happy.  At just before 1AM on December 30th Noah made his debut and promptly fell asleep.

His two sisters, Alyssa and Venessa now have a live "doll" to play with.  They are going to be wonderful big sisters.

December 2009 Technique Club

It's almost Christmas but we all found some time to get together and stamp.  The Technique Club is having loads of fun with new items each month.

One of our cards we did the Stencil with Shimmer Paint Technique.  Didn't this just turn out so elegant.  The Vintage Ornament I Stencils featured in the Definitely Decorative brochure can be used for more than decorating your home.  I used the small ornament and sponged it in with Rich Razzleberry and then used the decorative stencil over the top and sponged on some of the Platinum Shimmer Paint.   This was a super simple yet very elegant way to make a card.

For another one our monthly techniques we did my favorite, Embossing.  We actually did two different types here one was the traditional heat set embossing with Craft Ink and Clear Embossing Powder the other was Dry Embossing using the ever to stunning Petals a Plenty embossing folder with the Big Shot.

November Card Club Projects

Wow did we all have fun at this class.  The pop of Christmas tree was a super hit.  Cards with animation are always so much fun to make and even more fun to receive.

Here is the card that we did this month as our 'project' item.

The cute little band you see is what kept the tree a surprise.  Here is how it looks all sealed up.

Since we all learned how to make this wonderful tree I made the cards super easy but elegant.

For this first on I used the Tree Trimmings stamp set from the IB&C on page 28 and embossed it with Gold Embossing powder.  We then partnered it up with our Real Red cardstock and the flocked paper from the Christmas Cocoa Specialty Designer Series Paper to create this elegant holiday card.

This one super quite a surprise for everyone to learn how quick it was.  We the Scenic Season stamp set from page 35 of the IB&C which us embossed with Silver embossing powder, brushed a little bit of our ever so special Frost Shimmer Paint featured in the Holiday Mini Catalog on page 27 along the bottom to create our 'snow' effect.  Then the magic all happened when we place the Snowfall Printed Window Sheet over the top of the trees.  Doesn't that look like a peaceful winter day with soft snow falling.
Well this was the last club meeting for this year and I can't wait to see everyone again in January to share some of the items I've created with our new stamps coming out next month.  You are all just going to love them.
